In addition to learning how to "manage" three experienced long distance cyclist, I am learning a lot about the history of mining in Nevada and geology. I was delighted to learn about a woman by the name of Belle Butler. She was actively involved with her husband in the establishment of mining in Tonopah, Nevada. Belle Butler is known as the First Lady of Nevada. Her story fascinates me because she was involved in a male dominated industry in the early 1900's. Getting back to the cyclist, they are amazing. Paul and Gayle are riding a tantrum and I am in awe how the pedal in unisance with one another. Paul C speeds along and manages to find and keep the most interesting "trinkets" on the roadside. More miles on the horizon tomorrow. dkg
