On the way down highway 50, literally in the middle of nowhere, we caught up with Jonathan Heil, an interesting fellow who has been walking across America.  He started in Delaware, and plans to end at Point Reyes, Ca.  He was walking with a baby carrier stocked with his gear and LOTS of water.  I gave him a Gatorade and he was happy to get it.  What a trip!  We were  there with him for about a half hour, and he wanted to talk more.  We had some miles to make, so we bid him best of luck, lots of water, few bugs, and gentle miles - and on we went.  He said he had a blog too on Facebook;
